Nucleoeléctrica Argentina welcomed the Designated Ambassador of Canada and representatives from AtkinsRéalis and Candu Energy Inc. at the Embalse Nuclear Power Plant

Embalse, Córdoba – On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, Nucleoeléctrica Argentina welcomed the Designated Ambassador of Canada to Argentina, Stewart Ross Wheeler, along with representatives from AtkinsRéalis and Candu Energy Inc. at the Embalse Nuclear Power Plant. The visit reaffirmed the company’s expertise and capacity in the operation and maintenance of CANDU-type nuclear power plants in Argentina.

Throughout the day, the authorities participated in strategic meetings and toured the plant’s facilities, where they learned in detail about Nucleoeléctrica Argentina’s technical capabilities in maintaining and extending the operational life of CANDU plants.

On this occasion, the president of Nucleoeléctrica Argentina, Alberto Lamagna, stated: “Our company has the knowledge and experience required to operate and maintain CANDU plants to the highest standards. We have proven our capabilities through the life extension of Embalse and are ready to offer our services and expertise to other plants in need of high-level solutions in this type of technology.”
