Nucleoeléctrica Argentina is part of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), an international organization that contributes to the continuous improvement of nuclear power plants, promoting safety in the first place.

The company operates its nuclear power plants applying the international practices recommended by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), of which our country has been a member since its origin.

In addition, the company is part of the CANDU-type Nuclear Power Plant Owners Group (COG). It is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing cooperation, mutual assistance and information exchange programs for the development, operation and maintenance of this type of facility.

At the regional level, the country is a member of the Brazilian-Argentine Agency for Accounting and Control of Nuclear Materials (ABACC). This binational body, created in 1991 by the governments of Brazil and Argentina, is responsible for verifying the peaceful use of nuclear materials that could be used, directly or indirectly, in manufacturing weapons of mass destruction.
